Dar(KO) for Kharkiv trip

Ernesto Valverde has released his 18-man roster for the UEFA Cup encounter with Metalist Kharkhiv in Ukraine on Wednesday. With three points after two matches, Olympiacos will be searching for maximum points at the Oblasny SportKomplex Metalist in Kharkiv.
The Greek Champions, who have been on quite roll in recent weeks, will be without striker Darko Kovacevic for their trip north to Ukraine, as the Serbian striker picked up an injury in his little playing time against Benfica last Thursday. The former-Real Sociedad player joins Ieroklis Stoltidis on the sidelines, with the latter still recovering from a long-time injury.
Replacing Kovacevic will be Sunday’s two-goal scorer, Konstantinos Mitroglou. The U21 Greece international will likely play only a sub’s role in Kharkhiv, but will be keen to redeem his reputation after a controversy surrounding the former- Borussia Monchengladbach player and management resulted in Mitroglou directed to write a letter of apology.
Another troubled member of ‘O Thrylos’ was not as fortunate, as Raul Bravo was overlooked for UEFA Cup selection - despite starting against Panionios on Sunday.
There was a silver-lining for the ‘Eruthroleuki’ as Vasilis Torosidis was named to the roster, and will likely make his first appearance after a three-match layoff.
Olympiacos CFP (Ernesto Valverde):
Goalkeepers - Antonis Nikopolidis, Pavel Kovac.
Defenders - Anastasios Pantos, Avraam Papadopoulos, Paraskevas Antzas, Michal Zewlakow, Didier Domi, Vasilis Torosidis.
Midfielders - Predrag Djordjevic, Fernando Belluschi, Sebastian Leto, Dudu Cearense, Luciano Galletti, Christos Patsatzoglou, Kostas Mendrinos.
Forwards - Diogo Santo, Oscar Gonzalez, Kostas Mitroglou.
