More information has surfaced about a mysterious English bid for Olympiacos’ Christos Patsatzoglou, as Sky Sports has confirmed the bid to attain the rights of Olympiacos’ Greece international has in fact come from Coca-Cola Championship side Bristol City.
According to the British news outlet, Bristol City submitted an embarrassing offer of €400,000, as the English side believed they could secure the service of the 29-year-old for a bargain as his contract with the Greek Champions expires at season’s end.
Olympiacos shrugged off Bristol’s unconvincing offer, and insisted Patsatzoglou would not be leaving the Giorgos Karaiskakis Stadium for anything less than €1.5 million. Clearly exceeding the Robins’ offer which was less than half of Olympiacos set price tag.
Reports from Greece also claim the Super League leaders will offer Patsatzoglou a new contract before season’s end.
