Olympiacos inches closer to a Tettey transfer

The Greek Champions have been pursuing Rosenborg BK’s Alexander Tettey for quite some time now, but it now seems the Norwegian outfit has decided to decrease its asking price for the Ghanaian-born Norwegian from € 4.5 million to a now speculated € 2.5 million asking price.
The reduction of the transfer price comes after it was reported that Olympiacos’ two previous offers were rejected by the twenty-time Norwegian Champions.
While Olympiacos didn’t seem headed for a busy winter transfer period, reports from Greece have mainly pit Olympiacos with a transfer scenario to secure the services of the 22-year-old. Reports now suggest Olympiacos are ready to transfer interest into an offer, and the Greek press suggests the Super League leaders have offered Roseborg € 2 million for Tettey. Olympiacos remains optimistic to reach an agreement with Rosenborg ahead of the end of the winter transfer window.
The player in question has acknowledged interest from the Greek Champions, but from what can be classified as a professional stance has downplayed the rumors which link him with a possible move to Piraeus.
“I am aware of Olympiacos’ interest, but I have left all the negotiations to my agent. He is the one handling it now and I know nothing more,” pleaded Tettey.
“Olympiacos’ offer is very tempting. I always strive to grow as a footballer, but at this time I am a Rosenborg player; they are the only side in my mind,” concluded the Norway international.
