Torosidis set for ‘Erythrolefki’ extension

All rumors regarding Vasilis Torosidis’ football future are slowly being put to rest as reports from Greece reveal the Greece international is on the verge of signing a contract extension with Olympiacos, which would keep the highly desired defender at the Giorgos Karaiskakis Stadium through the 2012-2013 season.

While the club has not released a report of its own concerning Torosidis’ future, newspapers in Greece have leaked the probable move, which silences the likes of European suitors chasing Torosidis’ signature.

It seems to be an ideal move for the youngster, who in a recent interview said he wanted to stay and “end his career” with Olympiacos.

Olympiacos denies English offer for Patsatzoglou
Reports from Greece claim Olympiacos has denied a mysterious offer from England for the services of midfielder Christos Patsatzoglou. The team, which remains unnamed, is thought to be Coca-Cola Championship side Birmingham City.

The offer was immediately rejected by Olympiacos, as the 30-year-old has grown into a crucial role for Ernesto Valverde’s side. And while Patsatzoglou’s contract with the Greek Champions runs out at season’s end, it is expected the Greece international will sign on for another term with the Piraeus club.
