Viera linked with Olympiacos

The last few days have allowed Inter Milan’s Patrick Vieira to fall into a deep transfer rumor relationship with Olympiacos. The France international has reportedly sparked interest from the Greek Champions, and the Frenchman has apparent desires for a move away from the San Siro.
It seems the motive for such rumors is Vieira’s limited playing time under Inter Milan boss Jose MOurinho. In the recent edition of Inter’s ‘Derby d’Italia’ with long time rivals Juventus, the former Arsenal midfielder was left on the bench until the dying moments of Inter’s 1-0 triumph. With an abundance of players capable of replacing the once invincible Vieira, it seems the Frenchman has little time left with the ‘Nerrazurri’. As Greece’s top flight continues to grow in popularity, and star talent, the possibility of securing Vieira’s rights could be a possibility.
This isn’t the first time a reputable player has been linked with a move to Piraeus, and it surely won’t be the last. The ironic part of the headline is the fact that Italian media is the core provider of these transfer tidbits, and not the Greek media which has taken clear strides to downplay the reality of a Vieira transfer.

I would think a Makalelesque move to Ligue 1 would be more likely, although a move to Greece would surely be interesting.
